Double Bridge Run Presented by Publix
Quickly becoming one of the premier 15K (9.3 miles) races in the country, the Double Bridge Run Presented by Publix gives runners a full view of our great area. Beginning in downtown Pensacola on Palafox Pier, the 15K winds through historic Pensacola, over the 3-mile bridge spanning Escambia Bay, through Gulf Breeze, over the Bob Sike's Bridge and the Intercostal Waterway, and finishing on the pristine white sands of Pensacola Beach.
The race also features a 5K (3.1 miles) race which begins in Gulf Breeze, runs over the Bob Sikes Bridge and uses the same finish line on the beach.

Course. The starting line for the 15K race is at 997 South Palafox Street on Palafox Pier. The starting line for the 5K race is at 10 Daniel St. in Gulf Breeze. The finish line for both races will be in the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk parking lot. 15K runners are required to keep a 14-minute per mile pace.
Race Day Parking Information. Runners are to park at the finish line under the beach ball water tower by the Pensacola Beach Pier. We will run shuttles from the parking lots to the start lines. We will NOT have a shuttle from the finish line to the start lines after the race.

Gear Bag Check. Convenient bag check at both start areas enables you to have a change of clothes and essentials delivered to the finish line for your comfort. Gear bags will be transported for you in vans from the start areas to the finish line area.
On-Course Entertainment and Aid Stations. Aid stations are located at approximately the 2.5, 6, and 8 mile marks on the 15k course and at the 2mile mark on the 5k course. There will be spring water, medical support and portable toilets at each aid station as well as the start and finish areas. There will DJ's on the course strategically placed to keep you entertained and motivated.
15K Prize Money. Monetary awards will be given to the first 3 OVERALL FINISHERS for the Men and Women in the 15K. $1,250 to the first Male & Female, $500 to the second & $250 to the third in the 15K.
Race Goodies. Participants in both races receive an official race t-shirt, a 100% cotton long-sleeve shirt (guaranteed for first 2,500 registrants ONLY). For anyone (visitors or locals) staying in area and beach hotels, you will receive a free Pensacola themed fleece blanket. Runners will also be able to receive a free pair of running sleeves from Asics, A limited number of running sleeves will be available. A limited number of running sleeves will be available - Simply fill out a short survey at the Expo to get your running sleeves. Refreshments, food, and beverage will be available at the finish line for all participants.
Race Expo / Packet Pickup / Late Registration. Expo, Packet Pickup and Late Registration will be at the Hilton Gulf Front Pensacola Beach (12 Via Deluna Drive, Pensacola Beach, FL 32561) on Thursday, Feb. 2nd from 4 PM to 8 PM and Friday, Feb. 3rd from Noon to 8 PM. You will pick up your race packets there.
Race T-Shirts. Participants will receive a 100% cotton long sleeve race shirt. Shirts are men sizes. Shirts are guaranteed to first 2,500 registrants only. Please specify your size of shirt you would like when you submit your race application. Size and/or availability of shirts is not guaranteed to late registrants.
Awards. Overall awards for the 15K and 5K runners races including overall, masters, grandmasters and senior grandmasters will be awarded individually at the conclusion of each event. Age group awards three deep in five year age groups starting at 13 for the 15K and 10 for the 5K will be available at the awards ceremony at Hemmingway's Island Grill. Walkers will be awarded three deep in two categories: 39 and under and 40 and over.
Race Day Timeline. 5 am - 6 am - 15K Shuttle Buses Depart Beach Parking Lot 6 am - 7:30 am - 5K Shuttle Bus Departs Beach Parking Lot 6:40 am - 15K - Begin lining up in correct corral for start 6:55 - Colors Presentation and National Anthem 7:00 - Start of the 15K Double Bridge Run presented by Publix 7:30 - Final 5K Bus Departs Pensacola Beach 8:10 - Begin line-up for 5K Run and Walk 8:25 - Colors Presentation and National Anthem 8:30 - Start of the 5K Double Bridge Run presented by Publix 9:30 - Course Closes at 9:30 a.m. 8:00 until noon - Post-Race Party and Award Ceremony at Hemmingway’s Island Grill 7 pm - Free Concert by Mingo Fishtrap at Seville Quarter in downtown Pensacola.
